Produced by Acústic Celler, the wine Acústic Blanc takes the word "indigenous" to the next level.
Indeed, this Spanish white wine crafted by winemaker Albert Jané is made from a blend of 93% White Grenache, 5% Macabeo, 1% Grey Grenache ("Garnatxa Roja") and 1% Pansal (a.k.a Xarel·lo). The grapes come from 30 to 80-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of DO Montsant.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were cold-macerated for 48 hours prior to fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation of this organic white wine took place in stainless steel tanks (40%), French oak vats (20%), 300 and 400-litre French oak barrels (20%), clay amphorae (10%) and concrete eggs (10%).
After that, the wine Acústic Blanc 2023 was aged for 7 months on its lees in the said containers.
Aerate this white wine from Montsant 30 minutes before drinking.
