Product Description

Produced by Acústic Celler, Acústic Blanc takes the word "indigenous" to the next level.

Indeed, this Spanish white wine crafted by winemaker Albert Jané is made from a blend of 93% White Grenache, 5% Macabeo, 1% Grey Grenache ("Garnatxa Roja") and 1% Pansal (a.k.a Xarel·lo). The grapes come from 40 to 80-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of DO Montsant.

Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were cold-macerated for 48 hours prior to fermentation. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks (70% of the wine must), and in new French oak barrels, where the wine was then aged for 8 months on lees. Finally, Acústic Blanc 2021 was blended and bottled.

Aerate this white wine from Montsant 30 minutes before drinking.

Additional Information
Additional Information

The white wine Acústic Blanc is medium yellow with some steely tinges.

This blend of White Grenache, Macabeo, Grey Grenache and Xarel·lo exhibits some complex, fresh notes of white fruit, citrus and tropical fruit, combined with remembrances of white flowers and aromas of Mediterranean undergrowth and some mineral undertones.

Nuanced and characteristic, this white wine from Acústic Celler has a very good acidity and a long, slightly bitter finish with a mineral and zesty remembrance.

Bought this after reading a review in Jancis Robinson's purple pages. The wine is very charactersitic, Mediterranean but not overblown. Excellent!!
