Acústic 2022
This is the new vintage of the wine Acústic from Monstant.
This consistently good Spanish red wine is made from - mostly - Carignan and Grenache, coming from vines 35 to 70 years of age.
The vineyards of the Acustic Celler winery are spread over different locations across the Montsant region. They are planted at an altitude between 300 and 700 metres above sea level, in sandy soils with low levels of organic matter.
The grapes were carefully selected on site, destemmed and cold-soaked for 15 days. Then they were gently crushed and, after 24 hours, the wine must was fermented and transferred into 2nd year French oak barrels, where the wine Acústic 2022 completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 10-11 months.
This Crianza red wine was neither filtered nor clarified prior to bottling.

| Nose | Aromas of juicy cranberries and mulberries, with hints of spices, balsam and flowers. This blend of Carignan & Grenache also suggests some nice toasted remembrances over a mineral background. |
| Palate | Fresh and straightforward, with wild berries, a delicate minerality and notes of Mediterranean undergrowth. This wine from Acústic Celler has some yummy tannins, a very good acidity and a long finish. |
| Our personal opinion | Winemaker Albert Jané knows how to convey the spirit of Montsant. The wine Acústic 2022 is a great expression of the land at a very affordable price. |
