Produced by the Acústic Celler winery, the wine Acústic Blanc Magnum is a blended Spanish white wine from Montsant in a 1.5-litre bottle, a feature that makes it perfect for a long ageing period in your home cellar.
It is made mostly from White Grenache and Macabeo, combined with tiny amounts of Pansal (a local clone of the Xarel·lo grape) and Garnatxa Roja (also known as Grey Grenache, a variety indigenous to northern Catalonia.)
Harvested by hand, the grapes were selected and macerated undestemmed for two days. Then a 70% of this white wine from Montsant was fermented on its lees in stainless steel tanks, while the remaining 30% was fermented and then aged in new French oak barrels for 3 months. After that, the wine was aged for some months in the fermentation tanks.
Finally, the wine Acústic Magnum Magnum 2022 was blended and aged for a further months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
