Made by Acústic Celler, the wine Acústic Blanc takes the word "indigenous" to the next level.
Indeed, this Spanish white wine crafted by winemaker Albert Jané is made from a blend of 89% White Grenache, 7% Macabeo, 2% Grey Grenache ("Garnatxa Roja") and 2% Pansal (a.k.a Xarel·lo). The grapes come from 30 to 80-year-old vines planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of DO Montsant.
Harvested by hand and carefully selected, the grapes were cold-macerated for 48 hours prior to fermentation. The alcoholic fermentation of this organic white wine took place in stainless steel tanks, French oak vats, French oak barrels, clay amphorae and concrete eggs.
After that, the wine Acústic Blanc 2024 was aged for 6 months on its lees in the said containers.
