The Bodega Arrocal, the project of the Calvo Arroyo family, presents the wine Arrocal Village, an entry-level red that punches well above its price range.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from vineyards certified organic situated in Gumiel de Mercado, some of which belong to the VMC category (Viñedo Municipal Calificado, or qualified village vineyard). Virtually a varietal Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), this red wine from Ribera del Duero has a 5% of Grenache and Albillo Mayor, a local white variety.
Meticulously harvested, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that, the red wine Arrocal Village 2024 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and vats of different sizes.
After bottling, this Crianza red wine was kept for some months in the cellar before hitting the market.

Nose
This blend of Tinto Fino, Grenache and Albillo Mayor sourced from vineyards located in Gumiel de Mercado is polished and lively, with clean aromas of crunchy red berries, flowers and wild herbs, subdued oak and some balsamic notes.
Palate
Smooth-bodied, this red wine by the Arrocal winery shows excellent balance and nice definition, with some grip and a palate of redcurrants, herbs and flowers.
