Produced by Bodega Áster, the wine Finca El Otero is a single vineyard varietal Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero.
It is made from Tinta del País grapes coming from a 7.5-hectare plot planted in 1961 in the town of Anguix, near the city of Burgos.
Harvested by hand at their optimal ripening level, the grapes were cold-macerated for 7 days, destemmed, gently crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this Crianza red wine was transferred into French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation for 72 days, with weekly lees stirrings.
Then the wine Áster Finca El Otero 2019 was aged in new French oak barrels for a period of 16 months. It was bottled in March 2022.

| Palate | This wine from Bodega Áster is bold, meaty and well-structured, with a very good acidity and delicious tannins. Notes of toast, cocoa, blue flowers, chocolate, blackcurrants and dry earth. Long, elegant finish with some balsamic and toasted remembrances. |
