Details

An organic rosé sparkling wine produced by AT Roca, a member of the Clàssic Penedès association of producers, AT Roca Pedregar is made from a blend of Grenache and a lesser amount of Macabeo.

A single vineyard organic sparkling wine, the grapes were sourced from over 35-year-old vines with marl-limestone soils located in Viña del Pedregar, Penedès. 

Traditionally vinified, each variety was separately fermented. Then the rosé sparkling wine AT Roca Pedregar was aged for 7 months in oak barrels, after this this organic rosé sparkling wine was aged for a minimum of 30 months in the bottle.

This is a yummy, versatile Brut Nature rosé sparkling wine from Penedès.

Appearance

The sparkling wine AT Roca Pedregar is pale pink, with some copper and brownish tinges.

Nose

This blend of Macabeo and Grenache is gently citrusy and berryish, with some buttery remembrances and notes of custard and dry fruit.

Palate

Structured, focused and smooth-bodied, this Clàssic Penedès sparkling wine of Bodega AT Roca has a crisp acidity and some bursting, mouth-tingling bubbles. Long finish with some berryish remembrances and a mineral note.

Our personal opinion

Excellent without food and as an aperitif, AT Roca Pedregar 2016 is also a great match for oriental cuisine.
