This is the new vintage of Bertha S.XXI, produced in Penedès by Caves Bertha.
Each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. After completing alcoholic fermentation, the cava Bertha S.XXI 2009 was bottled and added selected yeasts. Once secondary fermentation was over, it was aged for 36 months minimum before its commercial release.
Complex and balanced, this cava brut nature gran reserva is excellent as an aperitif, without food or with desserts. Besides, it can perfectly match a multi course dinner.
The cava Bertha Siglo XXI is deep straw with some golden tinges.
Extremely suggestive and inviting, this blend of Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay smells of pastry, dry fruit and candied white fruit, with hints of underbrush and aromatic herbs, and a tip of flowers and English custard.
Fresh, medium-bodied and caressing, with a delicate texture and a sensous mousse. Despite its respectable age, this cava from Caves Bertha feels young and lively. Balance is excellent, and the nuances we found on the nose are enlivened by some elegant, delicately bitter nuances and a crisp acidity. Very long finish.
