Produced by Caves Blancher, a winery owned by the Carbó family, one of the oldest Cava producing families, the Cava Blancher Obrac Gran Reserva Brut is an amazingly priced Spanish sparkling wine.
It is made from a traditional blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, alongisde a tiny amount of Pansa Blanca, the Xarel·lo clone indigenous to DO Alella.
The grapes were cold-macerated and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, the Cava Blancher Obrac Gran Reserva Brut 2019 underwent secondary fermentation and was aged for 40 months minimum in the bottle.
This is an old-style cava gran reserva brut.
