Bodega Cerrón La Servil 2024
The wine Bodega Cerrón La Servil is, plain and simple, one of the finest ever produced in the DO Jumilla.
This Spanish red wine is made by Bodega Cerrón (Stratum Wines), a producer that has become a media sensation -and, for once, rightfully so.
This Crianza red wine is essentially a varietal Monastrell, nuanced by a droplet of Moravia Agria, Blanquilla and Rojal.
The grapes are sourced from El Cenajo, a 12-hectare certified organic vineyard with gravel and limestone soils located at roughly 900 metres of altitude. Planted with ungrafted vines from 1954 to 1956, it is tended following the guidelines of biodynamic farming.
Hand-harvested, the grapes fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in wooden vats. This red wine from Jumilla was then aged in the vats for 24 months.
Once bottled, the red wine Bodega Cerrón La Servil 2024 was shortly cellared before being released onto the market.
Decant this organic red wine before serving.
This should age beautifully.

| Palate | Amazing vibrancy and tension, with a chalky mineral undercurrent, a mouthwatering acidity and a superb Nebbiolo-like tannic frame. This terroir-driven wine by Bodega Cerrón winery ends with an evocative note of aromatic herbs, blue flowers and spice. |
