Produced by Can Sumoi, the project of Pepe Raventós -head of bodega Raventós i Blanc- the wine Can Sumoi Xarel·lo is made from grapes grown in the highest area of the DO Penedès.

A varietal Xarel·lo, the vineyards of this Spanish white wine are located at an altitude of 650 metres above sea level. All of the farming and winemaking processes, both at the vineyards and in the cellar, follow strict organic and biodynamic procedures and are guided by a minimal intervention approach.

Following the lunar calendar, the grapes were harvested in mid September. Once in the cellar, they were destemmed and gently crushed, after which the must fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.

After 16 days, this white wine from Penedès spontaneously began malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine Can Sumoi Xarel·lo 2024 was aged on lees for 3 months with 2 weekly stirrings.

This is a fresh and transparent organic white wine.
