The grapes were manually harvested, destemmed and cold-macerated for several days.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero was then transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was subsequently aged for 15 months. During the period, it was drawn off every 3 months.
Finally, Carmelo Rodero Crianza 2020 was bottled and aged for some months prior to its commercial release.
Decant this Crianza red wine from Bodegas Rodero a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
The red wine Carmelo Rodero Crianza is medium purple with a Burgundy rim.
This is an expressive blend of Tinta del País and Cabernet Sauvignon, with lively aromas of cranberries and bilberries, some vegetal remembrances and elegant notes of spices, underbrush, with some hints of cocoa, coffee and tobacco.
This red wine of Bodegas Rodero is medium-bodied and nicely balanced, with a lively acidity and some chalky tannins. Balsamic and a tad spicy, with a long, delicately mineral finish reminiscent of wild berries and scrubland.
