Then this Spanish red wine was aged in new American oak and 2nd year French oak barrels for 12 months.
Once bottled, Castell del Remei Oda 2019 was aged for a further 6 months before hitting the market.

The red wine Castell del Remei Oda is medium purple with a garnet rim.
Clean aromas of wild berries, ripe cherries and herbs combined with hints of spices, vanilla, clove and ground black pepper. The background of this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon suggests dim remembrances of leather, coffee, balsam and menthol.
Pleasant and fresh, with mild tannins and a crisp acidity. Nice balance between fruit and spices, some toasted notes and some earthy hints. This wine from Castell del Remei has a long, balsamic finish.
