Castell del Remei Oda 2021
This is the new vnitage of the wine Castell del Remei Oda, made by bodega Castell del Remei in the northwestern Catalan region of Costers del Segre.
It is worth noting that, since winemaker Tomàs Cusiné took charge of the winery, its wines have consistently shown a fresher, lighter profile.
A blend of Ull de Llebre (aka Tempranillo), Syrah, Grenache and Merlot, it is sourced from estate vineyards situated in the Artesa de Segre subzone.
The grapes were meticulously harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After that, this Spanish red wine was aged in new and 2nd year American oak (40%) and French oak barrels (60%) for 12 months.
Once bottled, the wine Castell del Remei Oda 2021 was aged for a further 6 months before hitting the market.

| Nose | Clean aromas of wild berries, ripe cherries and herbs combined with hints of spices, vanilla, clove and ground black pepper. The background of this blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Syrah and Merlot suggests dim remembrances of leather, coffee, balsam and menthol. |
| Palate | Pleasant and fresh, with mild tannins and a crisp acidity. Nice balance between fruit and spices, some toasted notes and some earthy hints. This wine from Castell del Remei has a long, balsamic finish. |
