Chandon Garden Spritz
Produced by the Chandon group in Mendoza, Chandon Garden Spritz is a most unusual Sparkling wine from Argentina crafted following a unique and meticulous process.
This sparkler was fermented with a bitter orange liqueur that had previously been macerated with a selection of aromatic herbs from Argentina and Brasil, grape brandy and a selection of spices from several countries.
The base wine of this Argentine sparkling wine was produced from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Semillón, sorted from vineyars situated at over 1,000 metres of altitude.
After completing alcoholic fermentation, the base wine was blended with the orange liqueur and transferred into stainless steel tanks. Secondary fermentation took 4 to 12 months to complete, during which period the lees were periodically stirred. This is called the long Charmat method.
The resulting product, Chandon Garden Spritz is an aromatic and glamorous bubbly-with no added artificial colorants or aromas-that will make for a perfect aperitif or party drink.
This fizz was chosen Best Argentine Sparkling wine at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships 2020.
