This is the new vintage of the wine Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila, produced by the Cims de Porrera winery, run by Marc & Adrià Pérez, of the prestigious Pérez wine family from Priorat
This terroir-driven Spanish red wine is made from a traditional blend of Grenache and Carignan (locally known as Caranyana) coming from young vines.
According to the regulations of DOQ Priorat, the name of this wine - "Porrera Vi de Vila" means "Village wine from Porrera" - guarantees that the grapes come solely from the village specified in the label.
Meticulously vinified, this red wine from Priorat was fermented and macerated at a controlled temperature, after which it was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Finally, the wine Cims de Porrera Vi de Vila 2021 was aged for about 3 years in the bottle before its release onto the market.

| Palate | This wine from Cims de Porrera gives all that we would expect from red Priorat. Succulent ripe fruit over a mineral background, notes of dry herbs, hints of spices and a subtle touch of oak. Ripe tannins, rounded by the ageing process, and a fresh acidity give way to a long, spicy finish with some fruity overtones. Lively and full of character. |
