The Clos Dominic winery presents the 2024 vintage of the wine Clos Dominic Blanc, an very scarce and extremely sought-after Spanish white wine from Priorat.

This cult wine is made from a blend of White Grenache, sourced from centenary vines, complemented with some Picapoll and Macabeo. The vineyard is classified as Vino de Paraje de La Tena - "Solanes de Mas d'en Pubill."

Meticulously harvested, this Priorat white wine was fermented in new French oak barrels, after which it also was aged for 6 months.

We suggest that you drink the wine Clos Dominic Blanc 2024 at a temperature slightly above the usual white wine serving temperature.

Appearance

The white wine Clos Dominic Blanc is medium yellow with some amber and steely reflections.

Nose

First thing we notice is a subdued, intriguing earthiness, Priorat's trademark, nuanced by ever-growing aromas of citrus, peach and flowers. As it opens, this blend of White Grenache, Picapoll Blanc and Macabeo suggests aromas of spices, aniseed, petrol and menthol. Spellbinding.

Palate

Layered and intricate, with plenty of room for growth, this wine from bodega Clos Dominic has a savoury, dense passage through the palate. Neither oversweet nor syrupy, it has an exceptional acidity and a steely backbone. Spices are subdued, and fruit and minerality reign supreme. Precise and focused, with a very long finish and a deeply earthy and petrol-like remembrance.

Our personal opinion

A rare jewel, the wine Clos Dominic Blanc 2024 proves that white Priorat can be as good - perhaps even better - as red Priorat.

Astounding white wine. Deeply mineral and self-assured, with a personality that combines a Riesling-like minerality with a Mediterranean splendor.
