Produced by Masia Can Mayol, the sparkling wine Elisenda Loxarel Brut Nature Reserva is refreshingly unconventional.
As required by the Clàssic Penedès association of producers, this Spanish rosé sparkling wine is produced from certified organic vineyards. Besides, the winery follows the guidelines of biodynamic farming.
A blend of Xarel·lo Vermell (or Red Xarel·lo, a pink-skinned mutation of the well-known Xarel·lo) and Montònega (a high-altitude genetic variant of the Parellada grape), it is made from vines located in Vilobí del Penedès and Pla de Manlleu.
Traditionally vinified, alcoholic fermentation took place in clay amphorae. After that, the rosé sparkler Elisenda Loxarel Brut Nature Reserva 2021 was bottled and aged for a minimum of 28 months. It is disgorged on demand.
This is a vibrant Clàssic Penedès Brut Nature Reserva. Excellent with sushi, Thai and Indian recipes.
