The premium tequila Don Julio Añejo is produced from blue agave grown in the Jalisco highlands, generally considered the absolute best place to grow the Blue Agave Weber plant.
Produced by the Don Julio brand, one of the world’s best premium tequila firms, the agave piñas were roasted in brick ovens to release the natural sugars. After that, the piñas were crushed and the resulting juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks and distilled twice in copper stills. Finally, this tequila from México was aged for 18 months in American white oak barrels.
Straw-coloured with some amber reflections, the tequila Don Julio Añejo has a refined and enticing nose, with aromas of sweet almonds, Tahitian vanilla, mandarine and lime peel and caramel. On the palate, this tequila from Jalisco is rounded and smooth, with hints of dry fruit and a long finish leaving some tropical and spicy remembrances.
The tequila Don Julio Añejo is excellent neat or as a cocktail ingredient.
