Details
The wine El Hombre Bala is made by the Uvas Felices winery.
The 2022 vintage of this Spanish red wine is, as usual, made basically from Grenache, sourced from 60-year-old vines grown in granitic soils and farmed following biodynamic principles. The main variety is complemented with a 2% Carignan from 40-year-old vines. The vineyards are located in the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios, at altitudes between 800 to 850 metres above sea level.
Although this Crianza red wine is sold under the Vinos de Madrid designation for bureaucratic reasons, the vineyards are actually located in Sierra de Gredos (Gredos mountain range), an area which is one of Spain's hottest wine spots.
After a meticulous harvest, the grape bunches were destemmed and then fermented and macerated in wooden vats and French oak barrels. Then the wine El Hombre Bala 2022 was aged for 14 months in those containers.

| Palate | Lively and elegant, this wine of the Uvas Felices project suggests flavours of red berries, aniseed, aromatic herbs, crunchy bacon and sweet spices. Good acidity and polished tannins. Long finish with some underbrush remembrances and hints of flowers and menthol. |
| Our personal opinion | Fresh and intense, the wine El Hombre Bala 2022 is a very nice value and a definitely terroir-bound Garnacha de Gredos. |

Bala wine
I really enjoyed this garnacha from Gredos. It is delicately mineral and very expressive. Excellent!!!
