The rosé wine Els Còdols is the latest release by bodega Martí Fabra, whose origins in the Empordà date from the 14th century.
This Spanish rosé wine is solely made from Grenache, sourced from a single parcel with extremely rocky soils, vinya del Pont, located on the foothills of the Albera mountain range, on the northernmost tip of the DO Empordà.
The grapes were vinified in an old concrete vat in Can Carreras, the ancient masia - country house - where the winery's headquarters are located. After completing fermentation, this rosé wine from l'Empordà was aged for 9 months on lees in the vat.
