Made by Bodega Frontio, the wine project of Dane Thyge Benned Jensen, the wine Frontio Follaco showcases the amazingly rich wine heritage of DO Arribes, an up-and-coming Spanish wine region located in the southern part of the Zamora province, right on the border with Portugal.
This varietal Spanish red wine is made solely from Juan García, a characterful and low-alcohol native variety. The organically certified vineyards are situated near Fermoselle, the main village.
The handpicked grapes were macerated before being fermented with native yeasts in plastic bins. Then this red wine from Arribes went through a spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
Finally, the red wine Frontio Follaco 2025 was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels and foudres.
