Produced by bodega Máximo Abete, the wine Guerinda La Rosa is a characterful Spanish rosé wine from DO Navarra.
The grapes of this vino de pueblo (village wine) are sourced from two Grenache vineyards located on the outskirts of San Martín de Unx, a village in the Sierra de Guerinda mountain range at roughly 450 metres of altitude. Farmed following environmentally friendly techniques, the vines are around 25 years old.
Hand-picked and fully destemmed, the grapes were cold-macerated with the skins for 8 hours before being drawn-off by gravity (a process called “sangrado de lágrima”, the local equivalent of the French rosé de saignée.) After that, this rosé wine from Navarra was fermented and aged for 9 months in used French oak barrels with periodic pump-overs.
The rosé wine Guerinda La Rosa 2022 was aged for a further months before its commercial release.
The production of this Crianza rosé wine is below 2,000 bottles.
