Details
An homage to the founder of bodega Avelino Vegas, the white wine Isabel Arranz Carácter is solely made from pre-phylloxera Verdejo vineyards situated in DO Rueda.
The low-yielding vineyards sit at 900 metres of altitude, in an area of poor sandy soils with a clayey subsoil. Production is extremely low, but of a very high quality.
Meticulously sorted, the grapes were destemmed, cold macerated and pressed before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then a volume of this white wine from Rueda was transferred into new French oak barrels, and the rest remained in the tanks.
The white wine Isabel Arranz Carácter 2024 was aged for 8 months in the said vessels. Once bottled, this Crianza white wine was stored for 6 months minimum before being released to the market.
Aerate this Spanish white wine before drinking.
