An homage to the English travellers who visited and praised the beauty of the Málaga region back in the XIXth century, the wine La Encina del Inglés ("The Englishman's Holm oak") is named after a particular traveller that left a lasting impression on the region.
The 2024 vintage of this Spanish red wine from Finca La Melonera is a blend of 50% Tintilla de Rota, 30% Tempranillo and 20% Syrah.
The grapes come from vineyards at altitudes between 600 and 900 metres in DO Sierras de Málaga. They are farmed following minimal intervention techniques.
Harvested by hand, each grape variety was meticulously vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, the wine La Encina del Inglés 2024 was aged for 6 months in French oak vats.
We suggest that you pair this red wine from Málaga with a good Ibérico ham plate.
