The wine Marqués de Velilla Crianza is a flawless Ribera Crianza by bodega Marqués de Velilla, located in La Horra, in the historic heart of the DO Ribera del Duero.
This varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from three Tinta del País vineyards: "La Picona", "El Frescal" and "El Charcón de las Palomas", at 800 to 900 metres of altitude. The vines, planted in the early 1990s, are grown in soils are made of clay, gravel and limestone.
Hand-harvested, the grapes were fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that, the red wine Marqués de Velilla Crianza 2022 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Before being released onto the market, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was cellared for no less than 12 months.
We suggest aerating this Crianza red wine before drinking.

The red wine Marqués de Velilla Crianza is medium purple with a cherry-coloured hue on the rim.
Nose
This varietal Tinta del País is ripe, open and expressive, showcasing forest berries, liqueur de cassis, sweet spice and a dash of mint, with lively mineral suggestions.
Palate
Well-rounded and inviting, with ripe tannins, a juicy mid palate and a tapering acidity. This wine by bodega Marqués de Velilla has a lingering finish reminiscent of blueberries and chocolate mint.
