The wine Marqués de Velilla Roble is made by bodega Marqués de Velilla, situated in the village of La Horra, one of the three corners of the historic triangle of the DO Ribera del Duero.
Made solely from Tinta del País, this varietal Spanish red wine is sourced from the Monte Villalobón estate, between 800 and 900 metres above sea level, with soils of clay, gravel and limestone. The vines were planted in the late 1990s.
The handpicked grapes were fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Then the red wine Marqués de Velilla Roble 2024 was aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.
Once bottled, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was kept for no less than 3 months in the cellar before hitting the market.
