Produced by Bodegas Enrique Mendoza, Moscatel de La Marina is a varietal Spanish white wine produced in the ever-sunny coasts of the Mediterranean.
The wine is made from Muscat of Alexandria (Moscatel de Alejandría), a grape that has been being grown in the Alicante region for over 2,000 years.
Traditionally vinified, the grapes were destemmed, macerated and drawn-off. Then they were gently crushed and the resulting "free-run" juice was added wine alcohol until it reached 15%.
Finally, Moscatel de La Marina 2022 was filtered and bottled.
This young sweet white wine is simply delicious.
