A much appreciated Spanish white wine from La Rioja, the elegant wine Muga Blanco is made principally from Viura, complemented with Malvasía & White Grenache.
The grapes come from estate vineyards with clay-limestone soils.
Made by Bodegas Muga, after a meticulous harvest the fruit was macerated with the skins. Then this white wine from La Rioja was fermented in new French oak vats and in oak barrels from Nevers.
Finally, the wine Muga Blanco 2024 was aged on lees in the barrels for 4 months, with periodic stirrings. During the first three months the lees were stirred twice a week, and during the last month lees-stirrings were carried out on a daily basis. Finally, the wine was cold-stabilized before bottling.
Pair this white wine fermented and aged in oak with creamy cheeses, white meat and fish recipes.
