This famed Spanish red wine is an all-time favourite of our customers. The 2021 vintage, incidentally, is just outstanding.
An absolute classic from La Rioja, the wine Muga Selección Especial is made from a traditional blend of Tempranillo, Grenache, Mazuela (Carignan) and Graciano, coming from vines grown in clay-limestone soils.
After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were destemmed and fermented in oak barrels built in the winery's own cooperage.
After that, this Reserva red wine from Bodegas Muga was aged for 26 months in French oak barrels built in the winery's own cooperage.
Finally, the wine Muga Selección Especial 2021 was clarified with egg whites and aged for 18 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
Decant this Rioja red wine at least 45 minutes before drinking.
