Produced by the young Nut distillery in L'Empordà (Girona), a region situated between the Pyrenées and the Mediterranean Sea, Gin Nut is a small-batch artisan Gin with a distinctively Mediterranean character.
This gin is made following the London dry Gin method, using osmotized water and neutral grain alcohol of great purity, which goes through four distillations and is macerated for 24 hours minimum with 13 high-quality botanicals, most of them of local origin: juniper, coriander, cardamom, angelica root, lemon peel, orange peel, green walnuts, rosemary, thyme, olive leaves, cinnamon, liquorish and bitter almonds.
This uncoventional Gin from Girona is transparent and very clean. The nose is intense and elegant, with a strong citrus background that reflects the Mediterranean character of this gin. There are lively remembrances of local herbs, balsam, spices and flowers. This Gin from Empordà has a long and pleasant citrus aftertaste of orange peels. It's a real treat.
Enjoy this Mediterranean Gin straight, on the rocks, with a lemon slice or, even better, with Mediterranean herbs like Rosemary. Great with a mildly bitter tonic, and sensational as a cocktail ingredient.
