O Cotarelo Tinto 2022
Produced by the small-batch winery O Cotarelo in DO Ribeiro, Galicia, the wine O Cotarelo Tinto is an appealing unoaked Spanish red wine made from native grapes.
An equal blend of Brancellao and Sousón, two scarce indigenous varieties of very high quality, the grapes were sorted from over 60-year-old vineyards which had been abandoned for some years and were put back into wine production by Mr. Benigno Ríos, head winemaker of the company.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then the wine O Cotarelo Tinto 2022 was aged for some months in the tanks until bottling.
This blended red wine from Ribeiro will be a great match for red meat recipes and stews.
