This is the new vintage of Onna, produced by Ramon Canals in Penedès.
Interestingly, this Spanish white wine is basically made from Xarel·lo coming from old vines, complemented with a small percentage of Gewürztraminer. Both varieties come from organically farmed vineyards.
Separately vinified, the grapes were first cold macerated for several hours with the skins. After that, both varieties were gently pressed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature. Once fermentation was finished, Onna 2022 was blended and bottled.
Drink this organic and vegan white wine from Penedès without food, or pair with light dishes.
