A terroir-oriented Spanish red wine, since the 2015 vintage the wine Palacio Quemado La Zarcita bears the "Vino de Pago" label.
Produced by the Palacio Quemado winery, it is made from vines farmed following sustainable procedures. They are located in the southern Spanish region of Extremadura, near the Portuguese border, in DO Ribera del Guadiana.
A blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Syrah, the grapes were separately harvested and vinified in concrete diposits.. After that, this red wine from Ribera del Guadiana was aged for 8 months in 500-litre and 5,000-litre French oak barrels.
Finally, the wine Palacio Quemado La Zarcita 2023 was blended and cellared for some time before hitting the market..
