This is the new vintage of Pardas Collita Roja, produced by Celler Pardas

A very interesting Spanish red wine, this varietal Sumoll comes from two organically farmed vineyards planted in the mid XXth century in the nothern area of Penedès.

Generally speaking, the Sumoll variety produces wines with a light body, lively tannins and a remarkable acidity and crispness. Picture a kind of earthy, slightly rustic Nebbiolo and you'll get the idea.

The grapes were hand-picked in late August. Meticulously selected, they were first macerated with the skins for two weeks. After both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, this organic red wine was transferred into oak barrels, concrete eggs and stainless steel tanks.

After that, Pardas Collita Roja 2017 was aged for 6 months. Finally, it was bottled and aged for some years before its release.

It is important that you decant this red wine from Penedès for a substantial period of time before you drink it. Sumoll is a reductive variety which usually opens quite tight.

Only 3,855 bottles produced.

The wine Pardas Collita Roja is medium ruby with a violet rim.


This varietal Sumoll is fragrant and enticing. Aromas of Mediterranean garrigue, violets, fresh red fruit, blood orange and flowers. In the background, this organic red wine suggests liquorice, spices and some earthy notes.


Fresh and razor-sharp, with a linear, light body and a wonderful tension. This red wine of Celler Pardas is reminiscent of wild strawberries and aromatic herbs, with a citrusy note and some earthy undertones. Bold tannins, exceptional acidity and long, enticing finish.

Our personal opinion

As indigenous as it is attractive, Pardas Collita Roja 2017 will pair excellently with meat dishes.
