Principia Mathematica 2024
Back in 2010, the first vintage of the wine Principia Mathematica was conceived by Irene Alemany and Laurent Corrió, owners of bodega Alemany i Corrió, with the aim of inspiring a paradigm shift in the white wines produced in Penedés.
More than a decade and a half later, we can confidently say that their ambition has been fulfilled, since an ever-growing number of winegrowers in Penedès are producing terroir-oriented Spanish white wines based solely on the signature local variety.
A varietal Xarel·lo, the grapes are sourced from two old vineyards, one situated in the Garraf mountain range, and the other in Subirats, central Penedès.
Produced following the guidelines of a Burgundian Chardonnay, the grapes were fermented in untoasted oak barrels and 1,000 oak vats. Then the white wine Principia Mathematica 2024 was kept for 8 months in the said vessels, including malolactic fermentation.
This white wine from Penedès was bottled in July 2025.

| Palate | Unctuous, nuanced and rich, this white wine by Alemany i Corrió winery carries notes of ripe pear, peaches, mango, citrus and some mineral undertones. Tense acidity and long mineral finish with some floral and smoky nuances. |
