Bodega Ianvs Vins, the personal project of Rubén Talaván and Sascha Koch presents the wine Roig de Lo Regat, a varietal Spanish red wine that takes the terroir-driven approach to wine to the next level.
Located near Gandesa (Tarragona), Lo Regat is a 60-year-old parcel composed of panal (fossilized dunes) soils and planted with Grenache and White Grenache. In 2024, Ianvs Vins decided to vinify the two varieties, thus producing two minimal intervention wines from two different varieties, both sourced from a single vineyard.
The grapes were hand-picked on August 24th and fermented spontaneously - 10% full clusters - in stainless steel tanks with a 7-day skin maceration. After going through a spontaneous malolactic fermentation, the red wine Roig de Lo Regat 2024 was kept in the tanks for some months before being bottled on Februray 23 2025.
This varietal single vineyard red wine has both a low ABV and a low-sulfur content (<10 mg/litre).
