Made by bodega Segura Viudas, the Cava Segura Viudas Rosé Vintage is an inviting Spanish sparkling wine.
This blended vintage rosé Cava is made from Pinot Noir (74%) and Grenache (26%), sourced from vineyards spread across Penedès and under the DO Cava.
After a night harvest, the Pinot Noir grapes were split into two batches: one went straight into the press, and the other batch was macerated for 6 hours to get a gently coloured must. The Grenache grapes also underwent a gentle maceration. Then both varieties were separately fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Bottled in March 2023, the Cava Segura Viudas Rosé Vintage 2022 was aged for no less than 9 months.
This rosé Cava from Penedès was finally added a dosage of 9 grams per litre.

Appearance
The Cava Segura Viudas Rosé Vintage is medium salmon with some bright orange reflections.
Nose
This blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache is open and sensuous, showcasing red cherry fruit, flowers and boysenberries, underpinned by some citrusy and balsamic notes.
Palate
Fresh and cheerful, this Cava by Heredad Segura Viudas winery has a lively acidity and some palate-tingling bubbles, ending with a note of strawberry and tangerine.
Our personal opinion
The Cava Segura Viudas Rosé Vintage 2022 is as food-friendly as it gets. Pair with tuna tartare, spicy recipes, oriental cuisine of cream desserts.
