Produced by Suertes del Marqués, the wine Suertes del Marqués Las Suertes is a dazzling Spanish red wine from DO Valle de la Orotava, Tenerife.
Made from Listán Negro (a.k.a. Mission and Tinta País), the grapes come solely from the El Ciruelo parcel, a centenary vineyard with sandy soils at 500 metres of altitude.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were macerated with 80% of whole bunches for 1 month, and then fermented in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts. After that, this Crianza red wine was transferred into used French oak barrels, where it went through malolactic fermentation and was aged on lees for 12 months.
Finally, the red wine Suertes del Marqués Las Suertes 2023 was bottled unfined, so it may contain some sediment.
