The wine Valduero 6 Años Reserva Premium is a top-notch varietal Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) from Ribera del Duero produced only in exceptional vintages.
This remarkable Spanish red wine is sorted from a single vineyard called "Las Lomas", located at an altitude over 800 metres above sea level.
The 40-year-old vines are planted in sandy-limestone soils with very low levels of organic matter. Climate is extremely harsh. In summer, temperatures can reach a peak of 40ºC, while in winter they can go below -15ºC.
Harvest of this Reserva red wine was meticulous and exacting. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine was subsequently aged for 36 months in oak barrels of different origins. The process took place in a cave buried 30 metres underground.
After that, the red wine Valduero 6 Años Reserva 2016 was aged in the facilities of Bodega Valduero for yet another 36 months prior to its commercial release.
We suggest that you gently decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking to enjoy it in its full glory.
