Pere Calafat and Bernat Calafat, co-owners of the Jaume de Puntiró winery from Majorca, present their new product: Vermut de Puntiró.

The base of this white vermouth is a Chardonnay white wine. It was further macerated with artemisia, fennel, lemon verbena, rosemary, camomile and lemon and orange skins. No sugar was added to the resulting aromatized wine.

Like all the wines of the winery, this vermut from Mallorca made from Chardonnay is produced from organically certified grapes.

This Spanish white vermouth has an intense golden colour and a complex nose, enticing and purely Mediterranean. On the palate, Vermut de Puntiró is bold, fruit-driven and savoury, with remembrances of aromatic herbs, a good freshness, and a mild sweetness.  

This sweet white vermouth makes for an excellent aperitif.

Incidentally, Vermut de Puntiró won the 2019 "Organic Product of the Year" award, granted by the Majorcan Council of Organic Farming.
