Celler VallDolina

Celler VallDolina

Celler VallDolina makes characterful organic wines in the Garraf Massif.

Situated in one of Penedès' most remote areas, the VallDolina winery - the name is a reference to a geological formation typical of the region - was founded in 2001, when Raimon Badell, the heir of a winemaking tradition dating back to the XVIIIth century, started the conversion of the family vineyards to organic agriculture. The winery is currently run by Raimon and his sibling Anna.

The estate of Celler Valldolina, whose headquarters are located in Masia Can Tutusaus, comprises 76 hectares, 11 of which are planted with certified organic grapevines. The winery grows local varieties, like Xarel·lo, Macabeo and Parellada, and international varieties, like Merlot, Cabernet SauvignonChardonnay and Viognier. Separated by traditional dry stone walls, the plots are located on hills and terraces with poor limestone soils at altitudes between 240 and 360 metres. They are surrounded by abMediterranean forest full of aromatic herbs and medicinal plants, a pristine environment in the heart of Massís del Garraf.

The wine portfolio of Celler VallDolina comprises still wines, traditional-method sparkling wines and Pét-Nats. The sparkling wine VallDolina Brut Gran Reserva is perfectly representative of the house style.
