Regina Vides 2011 is an excellent red wine crafted from a selection of the best vines owned by the Viña Sastre winery in some of the best terroirs in Ribera del Duero.
This wine is made from 60 to 100-year-old, low-yielding Tempranillo vines perched at an altitude over 800 metres above sea level, and grown in clay-rocky soils.
Qualified as "Excellent" by the Regulatory Council, the 2011 vintage of this Spanish red wine got 96 Peñín points and 90 Parker points.
Traditionally vinified, Regina Vides 2011, by the Bodegas Hermanos Sastre winery, was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Racking was performed twice.
