All of the grapes used in this Spanish white wine from La Rioja were fully destemmed and carefully selected.
After that, they were macerated for a few hours, gently pressed and clarified before going through fermentation.
As its name suggests, this white wine from La Rioja was then fermented in oak barrels. Both alcoholic fermentation and the subsequent ageing process took place in new French oak barrels. The process lasted 8 months, with regular stirrings of the lees.
After that Baigorri Blanco Fermentado en Barrica 2018 was bottled and kept in the cellar for some months.
Pair this Crianza white wine with white meat, medium-aged cheeses and oily fish recipes.
The white wine Baigorri Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is deep straw with some yellowish reflections.
The nose of this blend of Viura and Malvasía is complex and intense. This white wine fermented in oak suggests some fragrant white fruit aromas, notes of vanilla, citrus and toast, and hints of balsam, aromatic herbs and white flowers.
This white wine of Bodegas Baigorri has a substantial volume upon its entry, and it is very pleasant. Big, complex, glyceric, and very well-balanced. This Rioja white wine has a long aftertaste with dry fruit, pear jam, jasmine, smoked notes, and some creamy and pastry notes.
