This varietal Spanish red wine from La Rioja is made from old, over 65-year-old Grenache vineyards with very low yields.
Produced by Bodegas Baigorri, the wine Baigorri Garnacha was manually harvested and meticulously selected in the cellar.
The meticulous vinification of this red wine from La Rioja started with a brief maceration, followed by a long fermentation in stainless steel tanks with periodic punch-downs of the solid skin cap to foster the extraction of colour and tannin. Both processes were performed through gravity, using no pumps or mechanical devices.
After that, the wine Baigorri Garnacha 2018 was gently pressed and transferred into new French oak barrels, in which this vegan wine completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 14 months.
Decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
