Produced by Telmo Rodríguez, one of Spain's top winemakers, the wine Basa shows a different side of the well-known Verdejo grape.
Here, the variety is combined with a tiny amount of Viura.
This blended Spanish white wine is made from vines about 30 years of age, scattered across several plots in DO Rueda. The vines are gobelet and trellis trained, and they grow in gravelly and limestone soils.
Harvested both manually and mechanically, the wine Basa 2024 was fermented in stainless steel tanks and left to rest for a short time before being bottled.
This blended young white wine is yummy and fresh. It will pair excellently with seafood spaghetti.

Remembrances of passion fruit and mango, alongside some notions of lemon rind, grapefruit rind and some bitter touches of aromatic herbs. Good acidity and nice finish with some bitter remembrances, typical of a white wine from Rueda. |
