The wine Cesca Vicent 4 Elements is the top-range bottle of bodega Cesca Vicent, a family winery from Gratallops, one of DOQ Priorat’s historic villages.
Made solely from Carignan, this Spanish red wine is sourced from a single estate, Mas del Corral, planted with certified organic vines on the characteristic steep slopes of Priorat.
The grapes were hand-picked, meticulously sorted before being fermented in stainless steel tanks. Then this red wine from Priorat went through a quite interesting ageing process. First, this Crianza red wine was transferred into 3 different containers: oak barrels, clay amphorae and glass demijohns.
After maturing for some months, the three batches of the red wine Cesca Vicent 4 Elements 2023 were racked to the stainless steel stanks for assemblage. The final blend is hence the result of maturing the wine in 4 different vessels.
