Coming from DO Costers dels Segre, western Catalonia, the wine Comalats Alosa is made solely from Grenache.
Produced by Celler Comalats, this Spanish red wine is sourced from vineyards grown at an altitude over 700 metres, in the town of L'Ametlla de Segarra, following the guidelines of organic and biodynamic farming. Climate allows the grapes to ripen slowly and steadily, and also protects the plant from plagues. Soils are composed of clay and limestone.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were first macerated for 3 days in stainless steel tanks. Then this red wine of Costers del Segre fermented spontaneously.
After that, and in order to keep its varietal character intact, the wine Comalats Alosa 2023 was bottled with no filtration or clarification. Besides, this is a no added sulfites wine.
This young unwooded red wine is joyously fresh.

| Palate | Full of juvenile thrust, this wine of Celler Comalats is fruit-driven and totally smashable. Cranberries and raspeberries, with unnoticeable tannins and a steely acidity. This organic red wine has a delicious finish with a note of aromatic herbs and a mineral remembrance. |
