Produced by Bodegas Valduero, the wine Valduero Tierra Alta en 2 maderas is one of the bottlings of the "Tierra Alta" series.
This varietal Spanish red wine is produced from low-yielding Tempranillo vineyards perched at 830 metres of altitude, in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero. The vines are over 30 years old, and they are planted in very poor soils composed of clay, limestone and sand, in an area with a harsh Continental climate.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were fermented, macerated and then aged for a period of 15 months in American and French oak barrels.
After that, the wine Valduero Tierra Alta en 2 maderas 2019 was bottled and further aged for 18 months in the cellar before its commercial release.
