Details
Bodega Joan Grill, an interesting new project in DO Penedès, is the producer of the the wine El Jornal Montònega.
A varietal Montònega (a clone of the Parellada variety grown in the highest areas of Penedès), this Spanish white wine is sourced from a single 75-year-old vineyard certified organic, called “Sota ca la Montserrat”.
After manually harvesting and meticulously sorting the grapes in late September, they were macerated with the skins, pressed and drawn-off before being fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the white wine El Jornal Montònega 2024 was aged for 6 months on lees with periodic stirrings.
Limited production.
